Heat index

In the summer, humidity is the element that increases the feeling of embarrassment. RG Stedman (EE.UU.1979) developed the parameter windchill combined effect of heat and moisture from studies on human physiology and the heat transfer between the body, clothing and environment. When humidity is high, the wind chill value exceeds that of the air temperature. In this case the wind chill quantifies the difficulty which the body is to dissipate the heat produced by the internal metabolism and discomfort associated with excessive moisture. If the humidity is low, the wind chill is lower than the air temperature. In this case the parameter measures the increased sense of well-produced by a major cooling of the skin due to increased evaporation of sweat favored by low humidity.
